Really nice neighborhood spot with good vibes, service, and prices. Plenty of spirits to choose from and good specials. Highly reccomend the Buffalo cauliflower bites (even if you're not vegetarian), they are SOLID.
One of my favorite things about my most recent visit to Portland was how close our Airbnb was to this great neighborhood restaurant. Walking in, the atmosphere and the friendly servers and bartenders made us feel welcome. Although their cocktail list had a lot of temptations, I went with a Negroni. Made with a local gin, it was perfectly balanced and helped me come down from a busy day of travel. My smash burger was *excellent*: it was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and I'm not kidding when I say that my stomach just growled while writing about it. Everyone at our table was happy with their choices, with high marks going to the Reuben. When I come back to Portland, I'll be staying at the same Airbnb because of course I'll want to come right back to this wonderful neighborhood restaurant and try more dishes.
Smash burgers were insane, both bartenders were very talented and knowledgeable. Prices were solid. The vibe is laid back but polished, highly recommend
This might be my fave Whiskey Bar in PDX. Great selection of Whiskeys, at a fair price, and a very knowledgable staff. Cocktails are awesome. They usually have a great Single Barrel available that they hand select. Latest was a tasty Old Forester. Good stuff. Food and atmosphere are great with a nice covered and heated patio to hang in. This place is legit.
Their popcorn is amazing. I used to live nearby and I would walk/take the bus all the time to get their curry popcorn and regular popcorn. I haven't been local since 2019 and I still remember them very fondly. Staff were nice and I liked the food. I'm not a drinker so I can't report back on that.
Hal is the best bartender around! Food is fantastic, always have a good time here. The Whiskey selection is huge and the cocktails strong.
My go to neighborhood bar. Incredibly warm staff and awesome place to watch a game. The menu is great and I LOVE their fries. Almost always go with the daily special and I've never had something I didn't wish they would add to the menu permanently. Went once and they had bland, limp fries. I wrote a review about it and in less than 10 minutes had a personal apology from the own explaining how their distributer ran out of their fries and this was a backup. Even offered to give me a refund! I didn't need another reason to love this place, but I found one.
I'm happy I got to come back here to review it. One of the best neighborhood bars in NE Portland great food great drinks. Did I mention they have a whiskey club over 50 whiskeys to try. The food came out fast and it was delicious gotta try the fried chicken sandwich and the fries are addicting as is. Good patio especially when the sun is out. Will definitely be back
